Imagine the joy of gathering your most important friends along with your family on Cape Ann for the weekend. The Center is your “home” from Friday at 4:00 pm until Sunday at 11:00 am. The plans have been made for your Rehearsal Dinner on Friday featuring a New England Lobster bake or BBQ held outside in Nature’s Paradise. We light the Fire Circle in honor of your wedding and the life you share. Everyone has gathered after dinner to listen to music or tell stories about the both of you! On your wedding morning, the hot tub is enjoyed by your special guests. There is plenty of time for you to take a walk on our trails, meander to Conomo Point to the Bay, or visit one of Cape Ann’s attractions or beaches. This dream wedding can be yours by reserving the Center for your Two Night Weekend Destination Wedding.

Wedding Reception

Your Wedding Reception will feature delicious appetizers and a sumptuous meal, all perfectly prepared by our Executive Chef and culinary team. Our Chef specializes in beautifully presented, innovative reception menus served either plated or buffet style.

Thinking about having a Lobster Bake or casual BBQ option, let us know and we would be delighted to share our menu options with you. If you prefer to serve vegetarian, vegan or authentic cuisine we will work with you on a customized menu for your specific requests.

Overnight Accommodations

The Essex Conference Center & Retreat is a unique venue where your guests can enjoy the convenience of having overnight accommodations for after your celebration. Friends and family can enjoy the comfort and privacy of individual guest rooms. Every contemplative guest room is decorated with functional furnishings and overlooks our wooded property or gardens. No two rooms are exactly alike.

Up to 20 guest rooms are available for your guests for Friday and Saturday evening.
