Set within the natural beauty of seaside Cape Ann, Massachusetts, the Essex Conference Center and Retreat is tucked amidst 18 acres of white pines and oak. Less than a mile from the ocean and surrounded by 250 acres of conservation land, its beautifully landscaped gardens are punctuated by sculptures and artistic treasures, as well as a waterfall, and lily covered pond.

Your Wedding Reception will feature elegant appetizers and a sumptuous meal, all perfectly prepared by our Executive Chef. Choose from an array of delicious entrees and appetizers. Our Chef will meet with you to provide guidance in your menu choices.

Plan Your Wedding

The Center, is a beautiful setting for traditional weddings as well as gay or lesbian ceremonies that reflect the individuality of each couple in love. The Essex Conference Center & Retreat in Massachusetts, offers a beautiful setting for your wedding ceremony and reception. The ambiance at the Center is casual; and with our experience and attention to detail, you and your guests will fully enjoy your wedding day.

For over 25 years, we've hosted celebrations and weddings of up to 160 guests. Our locale, just 40 minutes north of Boston on lovely Cape Ann, can accommodate overnight guests and make it easy for family and friends who will travel from afar to celebrate with you.

Spring, Summer and Fall Weddings
May 1 - October 31

• NATURE'S PARADISE DESTINATION WEDDING
  Welcome your family and friends to gather for the weekend and create memories that will last a lifetime. Surround yourself with the natural beauty of Cape Ann for a weekend. Exclusive use of the Center from 4:00pm Friday until 11:00am Sunday.
  
  
• GARDEN DESTINATION WEDDING
  Say "I Do" in the garden and dance into the evening, then awake to a hearty breakfast with your guests. You, your family and friends can call the Center home for the evening. Exclusivity of the Center from 1:00pm until 11:00am the following day.
  
  
• SUNDAY WEDDING SPECIAL
  When a 4 hour wedding reception just isn't enough, spend a full day celebrating your love at the Center. Enjoy the Center and beautiful gardens with your guests for a full day. Use of the Center from 12:00pm until 11:00pm on Sunday.

November 1 - April 30

• Wondrous Winter Weddings. Enjoy your wedding at our Center November through April with a great savings to you. The Center is magical during Winter months.
