The Essex Conference Center & Retreat Center in Massachusetts, is a beautiful setting for traditional weddings as well as gay or lesbian weddings that reflect the individuality of each couple in love. You'll venture into a magical garden setting of towering pines and the scent of the sea blowing through our wind chimes. A waterfall tumbles into a lily-covered pond, a small stream meanders among the perennial beds, and in the midst of this beauty, you and your guests will celebrate the joy of your special day.
For over 23 years, we've hosted celebrations and weddings of up to 160 guests. Our locale, just 40 minutes north of Boston on lovely Cape Ann, can accommodate up to 40 overnight guests and make it easy for family and friends who will travel from afar to celebrate with you.

- Nature’s Paradise Weekend Destination Wedding. Our Best Value! Imagine the Center can be your “home” for your friends and family. A weekend celebration, 2-nights of magic and a lifetime of memories! Exclusive use of the Center from 4PM Friday through 11AM Sunday. Two nights lodging for up to 40 guests included.
- Magical Wedding for 24 Hours Destination Wedding. When a 4-Hour Wedding Just Won’t Do! The Center can be your “home” for 24 hours, allowing friends and relatives to relax and enjoy your special celebration in style. Saturday 11AM through Sunday 11AM. An Experience to Last a Lifetime
The ambiance at the Center is casual; and with our experience and attention to detail, you can fully enjoy your wedding day. We arrange for the tent, dance floor, lights, linens -- everything involved with the coordination of your reception. For the day of the ceremony, parking attendants are provided as well as a manager-on-duty. Additionally, our chef and service staff are available for the duration of your wedding.
Our chef specializes in beautifully presented plated or buffet receptions and rehearsal dinners. After your tour of the Center we welcome you to join us for one of our client dinners to taste the culinary skills of our chef.
